This week, emergency law investigations have come to protect Trudeau. Testifying were his most trusted aides and key ministers who supported his decision to give police special powers, suspend liberties and invoke the law to seize bank accounts.

Even the CSIS director, whose own agency’s threat and risk assessment determined that the “Freedom Convoy” “posed no threat to national security,” told Trudeau to invoke the act. Minister Mendicino said RCMP commissioner Lucky had informed him days before the law was to take effect that all police methods for dealing with the protests had not been exhausted. I couldn’t remember conveniently. Blair claimed people were ‘frightened’. There is little reason to act. Later, even the liberal-appointed Judge Rouleaux stepped into action, expelling the lawyers of the “Freedom Convoy.”

To say this survey turned into a farce is an understatement!

Re: Minister Mendicino can’t recall key facts, but there was talk of emotions, column, online edition, Nov. 22

Oh, the liar Mr. Mendicino, etc. Nothing new here. We all knew this was coming. It just repeated things that old scripts bore.

Party followers, bureaucrats, and politicians all agree on well-crafted memoirs (oops, “testimony”) as to why emergency laws were needed to protect us from their incompetence. increase. Because they were naive and scared.

The crowning glory comes at the end of Act 3, PM Just An Actor’s Academy Award performance. Then, after an appropriate amount of time, a declaration by the Security Emergency Committee, Yes, EA is required. However, the legislation will be reviewed and lessons learned will be recorded for next time.

And then there’s the following. This disenfranchisement works very well and must be repeated. The leader some of us voted for will. Doug Ford taking notes.

(I am looking forward to that report.)

Are you in for a long winter?

It’s mid-November. We still have December, January, February and March to get through. It’s been four and a half months.

I got a flu shot a few weeks ago and last week. Getting a flu shot doesn’t mean you won’t get the flu, so just to be safe, I went to shoppers to pick up a nighttime box of daytime colds and flu Tylenol. I went to Rob Rose after it didn’t work out for me at Shoppers. There was nothing there, no regular Tylenol or super-strong Tylenol.

So you have it.

Not only does Canada have no Tylenol for infants and children, it also has no Tylenol for adults.

We don’t know what the next few months have in store for Canadians, but the answer may be what my mother called “hot toddies.”

no job, no chance

Re: Miller’s out Bettman says November 6th

What if our society took our moral cues from the NHL and its corporate partners?
Career blocking all juvenile delinquency as a way of showing no tolerance for young lawbreakers.

All employers are obligated to refuse employment to these individuals, thus denying them a means of earning a living. At the same time, it demonstrates our impeccable moral virtues and our terrifyingly progressive society.

There can be no downsides.
