On Nov. 19, the Emmy winners competed at the 2022 Governors Awards in Los Angeles. But instead of being recognized for his recent achievements, the 61-year-old was awarded the Jean His Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic work.

“Good,” Michael told E! News of an exclusive interview with Red on his carpet. “People like to think they’ve been recognized for the good they’ve tried to do in the world. I’m really excited about this.”

“The fact that they get attention, the fact that our work continues, I love the glare of attention,” said Michael.
