‘Wednesday’ fans are obsessed with how Sing’s scenes were filmed with real actors

You have to give it to Netflix! Streaming his platform gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the new series Wednesday, and some fans were shocked to learn how convincingly certain characters were brought to life. I was.

WednesdayTim Burton’s supernatural drama series follows the titular Wednesday Adams (Jenna Ortega), who is at Nevermore Academy, a school for outcast and supernaturally powerful teenagers.

She is accompanied to school by a living, disembodied hand (who is also a family friend) who acts as her companion, accomplice and sidekick.

Many viewers assumed the Thing to be a creation of pure CGI magic, but it turns out that the Thing is actually played by a real-life actor, Victor Dorobantu.

In several production stills shot during the filming of the series, Dorovantu can be seen rocking a blue-screen bodysuit that covers everything but his hands. Still moving his fingers and playing as a mono.

“A big hand to Viktor Dorobantu, the amazing actor who played Thing in ‘Wednesday,'” Netflix captioned the post, along with a number of different snapshots from different scenes.

Naturally, many fans were shocked to learn that Thing was drawn by real actors and not entirely created by computer magic.

ET’s Denny Direct spoke with Dorovantu on the carpet at the premiere Wednesday On November 16th, the actor opened up about the challenges of playing The Thing.

“It’s a very difficult process because you have to express your emotions with simple hands without voice or subtitles,” explains Dorobantu. “It’s a lot of work to express emotions with your hands. I know a lot of people don’t get it, but if you watch the season, you’ll understand.”
