The television sequel to the 1988 cult classic movie Willow has released its first trailer, giving fans a glimpse of Star Warwick Davis returning to one of his most beloved roles.
Disney + has released a trailer for a series created by Lucasfilm and Imagine Entertainment at the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase Panel at the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, CA on Thursday. The series will debut on Disney + on November 30th.

The TV repeat of Willow is a movie event following an aspiring wizard (Davis) from the village of Nerwin and a toddler girl who joined forces to destroy the evil queen and expel the forces of darkness. It will be done 20 years after.

“It’s a dream to return to this character … Making this movie was one of the best experiences of my life,” Davis said Thursday. “many [fans] They grew up with Willow and told me that the film influenced the view of heroism in our world, “the actor commented in 2020, when the series was first announced. “If Willow Uhugood can represent the heroic potential of all of us, he’s a character I’m very honored to replay.”

The original movie wasn’t a box office revenue, but it became a fan favorite a few years after its first release. Continuing the “Willow” story in the new television series is a notable move for Lucasfilm, which has recently focused primarily on creating the first part of “Star Wars.”

Actress Joanne Whalley joins Davis and returns to the franchise to replay her role as Sorsha. New cast members include Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Ellie Bamber, and Annabelle, the actual daughter of Warwick Davis. Annabelle plays the daughter on the screen.
The series is executive produced by Jonathan Kasdan, Ron Howard, Wendy Mericle, Kathleen Kennedy and Michelle Rejan.
