RecycLiCo Battery Material Advances to Lithium Recovery Phase of Canadian Business Journal’s Demonstration Plant Project

SURRY, British Columbia, November 8, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Recycle Lico Battery Materials Co., Ltd. (“Recycle LiCo” Also “Company), formerly American Manganese Inc., a battery materials company focused on developing novel and environmentally friendly lithium-ion battery recycling and upcycling technologies, and its research and development partner Kemetco Research Inc. (“Kemetoko”) is the RecycLiCo Hydrometallurgical Demonstration Plant (“demo plant) located in Vancouver, Canada.

Since commissioning began earlier this year, the demo plant has demonstrated an actual leaching capacity in excess of 500 kg/day planned capacity and 99% lithium-ion battery cathode disposal using RecycLiCo’s patented closed-loop process. We verified the leaching extraction efficiency of the substance. .

The company has since enjoyed similar success with the recent decontamination and co-precipitation stages of ongoing demo plant testing. The demo plant is now taking the next step in the RecycLiCo patented process to demonstrate lithium recovery on a demo scale.

In order to serve the wider market and meet the needs of multiple potential partners, we will continue testing at our demo plant using various cathode production scraps, black mass and other feedstocks. At the same time, it will expand its next-generation battery-compatible cathode precursor and lithium product offerings to complement RecycLiCo’s current unique product portfolio. These products will continue to be shipped to potential partners for advanced product qualification and assembly in battery cells. .

The demo plant is a platform for further expanding and accelerating RecycLiCo’s commercialization strategy. Therefore, in parallel with the testing of the demo plant, engineering studies are being prepared for the design and construction of a commercial-scale plant that meets the needs of the industry.

Zarko Meseldzija, CEO and Director of RecycLiCo Battery Materials Inc. commented: “This puts us in a strong position to adapt to the market, work with potential partners to develop next-generation recycling and upcycling solutions that serve the wider market, and potentially secure long-term partnerships. I was able to stand on

In other news, the Company has granted a total of 2,700,000 stock options to certain directors, officers and employees pursuant to its Stock Option Plan. The stock options have an exercise price of $0.39 per share and expire November 8, 2027.
