Vernon Winter Carnival event tickets go on sale Friday

Great for stocking stuffers, stocking stuffers, or both.

Event tickets for the 63rd Annual Vernon Winter Carnival go on sale Friday, December 2nd.

Presented by ValleyFirst, the Carnival will run from February 3 to 12, 2023 and will bring back many beloved and popular events that have not been possible since 2020, as well as a range of new events.

Carnival Chairman Laurel Cornell said: “It’s the newest event in years, so it’s great to see the community show the carnival spirit.”

The festival features more than 130 events over 10 days of carnival. Over 35 of these events are sponsored directly by the Vernon Winter Carnival Society, with the remainder being third-party events sponsored by various local businesses and organizations.

“The theme for 2023 is CarnivalTV,” said Vicki Proulx, Executive Director of Carnival. “It’s great to see so many events joining this theme. There’s so much we can do on television.”

Other events include the 62nd Annual Vernon Winter Carnival Parade, BC Snow Sculpture Competition at Silver Star, and Balloon Glow at Polson Park.

Those wishing to purchase tickets are advised to do so immediately as many popular events sell out of tickets in the morning.
