Vancouver City Councilman Morgan Oger Releases International Guide to Entering Canada If You’re LGBT

Morgane Oger has done many things in IT, business and politics.

In her latest, a transgender mother of two joins Progress Vancouver, the electoral organization competing in the October 15, 2022 local elections.

Oger wants to become a city councilor.

Her candidacy was hailed Tuesday (August 9) by the party’s mayoral candidate Marc Marisen.

No matter what she does, Oger has always advocated acceptance of everyone in society, especially those who do not conform to traditional sexual orientations or gender identities.

She has struggled with discriminatory laws and practices for a long time, and she is not done yet.

On August 5, Oggar released a guide for people fleeing persecution from countries around the world because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.

LGBT people may be looking to enter Canada safely. This is where Ogar’s guide comes in handy.

“As of June 2022, at least 69 countries have national laws criminalizing homosexual relationships between consenting adults, according to Human Rights Watch,” Ogar wrote.

“Additionally, at least nine countries have enacted national laws criminalizing gender expression targeting transgender and gender nonconforming individuals.”

Oger acknowledged that he is neither a lawyer nor an immigration consultant and does not provide consultation or legal advice.

In his guide, Oger identifies and explains four “legal ways” to enter Canada.
