Uxbridge Tornado: The video captures the moment when the brewery roof is rough

A new video shows the moment when a tornado landed on Uxbridge over the weekend, stripping the roof from a local brewery in the process.

The footage was captured by several cameras mounted on a Tesla parked outside the Second Wedge Brewery on Victoria Street.

When the EF2 tornado first landed in the area on Saturday afternoon, it indicates that the sky is rapidly darkening.

Cameras located at the rear of the vehicle show that strong winds initially hit the tent located outside the brewery, tearing the canopy and bending the metal frame.

Within seconds, then, within seconds, a stream of debris, including what appears to be timber from the brewery roof, flies through shots taken with a frontal camera.

The whole unfolds in about two minutes of footage, by the time you see at least two broken windows and another parked vehicle with a pile of debris in the foreground.

The brewery co-founder told CTV News Toronto earlier this week that the business was just starting, but most would be closed for more than a year due to damage, including peeled roofs.

The brewery is one of at least 35 facilities in Uxbridge that was severely damaged as a result of the storm.

“This was our first weekend. We brewed beer to make it happen. Now we’re not going anywhere,” said Robert Garrard, co-founder of Second Wedge Brewery. I did. “Our coordinator estimated that if it was dismantled, it could be a year. I don’t think a year will last, so I don’t know what that means for us. Hmm.”

The Saturday storm caused widespread damage to the entire Uxbridge and urged the town to declare a state of emergency.

The Canadian Ministry of the Environment has previously stated that the tornado is embedded in the leading edge of Derecho. Derecho is a widespread and long-lasting storm associated with a series of thunderstorms.

At some point, a maximum wind speed of 195 kilometers per hour was recorded.

The tornado footage was provided to CP24 by Toronto-based Claire Redfield, who was visiting the brewery at the time.

He said on Twitter that his car was “beaten” after the storm, but he was able to safely drive his family home.
