US prodigy Caitlin Tuohy keeps dominance in NCAA

Kaitlyn Tuohywas one of fastest high school runner Throughout U.S. history, she continues her dominance at the NCAA level at North Carolina State University, which she completed this fall, including a win at the prestigious Nattycom Invitational in Wisconsin on October 14. I won both races I did.

Tuohy ran off the field less than a mile to win the women’s 6km in 19:44, five seconds ahead of her North Carolina State teammate. Kelsey Chimir.

Wisconsin’s Nuttycombe Invitational is one of the biggest races of the NCAA season and is widely regarded as the deepest field outside of the NCAA XC Championship.last year in Vancouver Seeley McCabe Won the women’s 6K race at West Virginia University in 19:57. McCabe and the rest of her WVU team competed at the Penn State XC Open on the same day and won the Women’s 6K with a time of 20:00.8.

With just one month to go until the NCAA XC Championship in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Tuohy and her top-ranked North Carolina state team are both front-runners for the NCAA XC title.

A junior, she won her first NCAA title last spring in the 5,000 m at the 2022 NCAA Athletics Championships.

Tuohy was a sensational high school athlete, setting a US high school 5K record of 16:06.87 in 2018. Gatorade Athlete of the Year XC 3 in her four high school days. She is the only athlete to have achieved this.

Gracelyn Larkin Contending for New Mexico State University in Rosseau, Ontario. Over the summer, Larkin made his Senior Team Canada debut in the 5,000m at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. Grace Featherston HoweHe also represented Canada in the 3,000 m steeplechase at the World Championships. Simone Prude, Running for the University of Utah, he was the third Canadian athlete to cross the finish line in 22nd place.
