Bono and Edge made a sudden visit to Ukraine this weekend, showing their support for the country during the ongoing invasion of Russia.
While visiting the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, U2 singers and guitarists do what they do best by performing amazing performances at the subway station that residents are now using as a shelter for bombs. I did it.
According to the report from Irish Times, Duo performed hits such as “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “Angel Of Harlem,” “With or Without You,” and “Desire,” along with a cover of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me.” Ukrainian musician Taras Topolia and his band Antitela (now a member of the Ukrainian army) joined in and replaced the word “me” in the song with “Ukraine”.

“The Ukrainians are not only fighting for your own freedom, you are fighting for all of us who love freedom,” Bono said in an improvisation.
Fans at the shelter shared a video of the performance.
