Jenna Ortega tells Olivia Rodrigo why she met Christina Ricci on the set of ‘Wednesday’ as ‘the most awkward thing of my life’

Jenna Ortega chats with fellow Disney star and best friend Olivia Rodrigo about the latest issue of the cult 1980s British magazine face.

Ortega is promoting the long-awaited ‘Wednesday’, which is currently on Netflix, in which she plays the title character.

In an interview, the actress talks about starring as Wednesday Addams after Christina Ricci did an amazing job in the ’90s movie.

Rich is also in a new Netflix series, playing Marilyn Thornhill.

Ortega says: I couldn’t say anything to her. It was probably the most awkward thing in my life.

“Sometimes I’d say something and she’d say something like that. I didn’t know how to handle it. We’ve talked since then and had a really great conversation. Even on the day she said Very professional, very nice, knew everyone’s name, never talked about Wednesday.”

Ortega said of the actress, “Christina Ricci is a legend. Without her performance, the character wouldn’t have been as big. but the script was also very reminiscent of her.

“I didn’t realize it at the time. Maybe I was naive and lame because Tim Burton is attached, but I didn’t realize so many people were interested in this project.” did not.

“I don’t know if I’ve done a good job, so I feel like my nerves are coming back even more. I’m in almost every scene. I still feel like I’m learning about her every day — I’m over night.” I lay there staring at the mid-ceiling, it’s like a nightmare.”

The peers also talk about growing up in the industry, and Rodrigo asks:

“When people ask me, they always say, ‘Yeah, it was awesome, but I was 13, and I was playing with adults,'” he said. It was an interesting upbringing. Likewise, it must have affected your results.

Ortega replied: It’s like I already did. From the time I was eight years old, people called me Granny. Surrounded by a large group of adults, working and living in an environment where you have to talk to them and work professionally, many actors look a little older than they actually are. Or communicate in such a way that other children their age completely struggle.

“So I think it’s something that comes … not naturally, because you have to learn it. But I never felt pressured. I was excited to be on set and I didn’t want to make mistakes.” No. I wanted people to want to work with me. It was kind of exciting for me, it was like a little game.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Rodrigo and Ortega talk about their public recognition and share their weird fan encounters.

Ortega tells the singer: My weirdest one is from the Disney days when I went to the bathroom and someone from under the stall talked to me. took me to my son’s birthday party. And you don’t have enough backbone to say no!”

She adds: So I’m like, I can’t go until you stop.
