In addition to being a spouse and music collaborator, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are also co-stars in “1883,” the prequel to the new “Yellowstone” streamed on Paramount +.
McGraw and Hill are discussing the show on Mark Malkin’s “Just for Variety” podcast. McGraw admits that there may have been a little too many “methods” when playing a character that lived in the 1880s.
“I wanted to maintain my personality as much as I could, so there were times when my wife forced me to take a shower while we were filming,” McGraw recalled. “She said,” I don’t care about the method. It smells!'”

Because of that role, Maglow also grew a bushy beard. It was initially too gray for the character he was playing.
“When you bear a beard, it’s completely white,” McGraw explained.
“So the hardest part was to keep dyeing it,” he added. “So, show up, [concert] And I grew this big old beard and wore it like £ 10 while filming the show. I didn’t feel comfortable at all when I tried to show and wear these tight jeans, grow this big, darkly dyed beard, put a script in my head and remember the words. It was hard. “
