Tiffany Haddish Molestation Lawsuit Against Aries Spears Dropped By Accuser – Nationwide

Woman suing comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears for allegedly grooming herself and her brother as children and abusing them on camera for sexually explicit skits dismissed submitted a request to do so.

Plaintiff has asked the United States District Court for the Central California District to dismiss her action. The reason for the dismissal of the lawsuit was not disclosed.

In a statement, the woman, identified only as Jane Doe in court documents, said, “I’m glad we can all forget about this.”

“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years now. I know never,” the statement read.

Haddish, Spears, and neither comedian’s attorneys have publicly commented on the situation since the lawsuit was filed.

The lawsuit was originally filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 30 on behalf of Jane, 22, and her brother, identified as John Doe, 14. The lawsuit alleged that Haddish and Spears molested the two brothers on camera for a comedy skit and “traumatized them for life.”

Jane was 14 and John was 7 at the time of the incident.

Less than a week after the lawsuit was filed, Haddish addressed the allegations in a message posted on her Instagram, expressing regret for getting involved.

Haddish wrote, “The sketch was meant to be a comedy, but it wasn’t funny at all. I deeply regret agreeing to appear in it.”

According to the lawsuit, Haddish and Spears met the two brothers because their mother was friends with Haddish through the comedy circuit.

In 2013, Haddish allegedly asked Jane to act in a skit after the comedian appeared as a guest speaker at a comedy summer camp Jane was attending. said he had the “perfect role,” the lawsuit says.

The following year, Haddish offered the role to Jane’s brother and told the brother’s mother that he would be “a Nickelodeon sizzle reel,” according to the complaint, alleging that he helped the boy get cast on a television network. It is written

The lawsuit originally claimed that both Jane and John developed social disabilities as a result of their abuse.

Attorneys for Haddish and Spears separately dismissed the lawsuits at the time, characterizing them as shakedowns. Haddish’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, alleged that the plaintiff’s mother “has been trying to make these false claims against Mr. Haddish for several years.”

The attorney called the allegations “unfounded” and said Haddish had previously shown “unshaken.”

In a separate statement, Spears’ attorney, Debra Opry, said the comedian “has no intention of going into shakedown.”
