Three people taken to hospital in Scarborough crash, one in critical condition

An elderly woman was seriously injured when two cars collided in Scarborough on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 3:30 pm near Victoria Park and Surrey Avenue.

Police said the passenger was trapped inside the vehicle and was found unconscious. Paramedics performed CPR on him through the car window and were able to resuscitate him.

An elderly woman was taken to a trauma center in critical condition, police said.

Paramedics said two patients, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Roads in the area are closed while police investigate the incident.
