The Raptors Select Arizona’s Christian Koloko in the 33rd Comprehensive Pick in the NBA Draft

The Toronto Raptors chose Christian Koloko of the University of Arizona as the 33rd in the NBA Draft.

A 7-foot-1 center from Cameroon, Koroko was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year with an average of 12.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.8 blocks as a Junior of Wildcats this season.

The first pick chosen by the Raptors in the 2022 draft was taken from the San Antonio Spurs, but initially belonged to the Detroit Pistons.

Toronto traded the first round pick (20th overall) with Goran Dragic on the Thaddeus Young trade deadline, eventually winning the 33rd overall pick.
