The Edmonton Oilers fell victim to two sets of defensive breakdowns, one and the other. Best of his 50-save performance by Islanders goalkeeper Ilya Sorokin in a 3–0 loss.

The effort was definitely better. But they again slowly started from the back. It’s hard at its best, let alone when you’re ‘goaled’.

Kodi Cesi6. A few shots, a few hits, 20-15, 57% CF 5v5. He and his nurse didn’t matter.

Twice on two same shifts, not just one turnovernd, leading to shots against .Just missed 2 top cornersnd Period PP. Giving Bouchard a chance for his PP, the shot was blocked. 5 shots.
Ryan Nugent Hopkins5. Good 1st The period shot caused panic in the islanders’ creases. minus 3rd Period PP and hit the crossbar with the resulting man advantage. It was his pass tipped that led to the Islanders breaking him 1-0, but in the opposite direction he was 2-3.

Jesse Purjujärvi5. Recorded a rebound for Nijmelainen at net oncestA smart snapshot from the .2 RushndDecent foresight, 0 hits.
Brett Clack4. Failed to get close enough to the opponents to prevent a pass up front at 2-0. 3-0 puck had his career, but didn’t. It was such a night for him. Neither had a primary responsibility, but they weren’t very helpful.
Evan Bouchard3. Try to be really rough. 2-0 went in straight off the stick at the slot. Holloway almost flipped Bouchard’s point shot home. A3rd Period PP shot blocked.
Ryan McLeod5. He seemed a little more confident. I turned the puck back to Bouchard for a chance. A particularly good shot from a rush that Sorokin stepped into. Only 38% in a draw.

Tyson Barry3. Much of his game went well, but there were two glaring errors. At 1-0 couldn’t keep his man in front. Then forced to bring down his man after a blocked shot, the Islanders scored on the resulting power play. In PP he could not push one home he part of two units.
Brad Malone5. Dangerous 2nd A period shot with Sorokin padding. 2 shots, 3 hits, 75% in a draw, 1:05 in penalties. consistent effort.
Dylan Holloway5.A2nd The period zone continues to bring opportunities to the top of the slots. 2nd period clear.just missed his his onest NHL goals in 3rd period deflection. Played a healthier 10:39, including his 1:30 on the power play.
Derek Ryan5. Rough D-zone work of 2nd It led to a pass that gave Malone an opportunity. Spin-O-Rama Chance In The 2nd.
The Oilers are “well” 10-10 right now. Rangers next.
