Frankfurt marathon champion celebrates victory with face plant

Everyone dreams of how they celebrate when they cross the finish line, Celie Kaptich Kenya’s celebration of Sunday’s Mynova Frankfurt Marathon victory didn’t go as planned when she hit her face in the ground.

The 37-year-old marathoner, who trains with NN Running Team, won the race in 2:23:11. She was pacing with her sub-2:20 result and course-record pace, but by the end of the race the temperature reached her record high of 22°C on October 30. .

As Kaptich crossed the finish line, the individual holding the winner’s tape released it too early, causing Kaptich to fall. Kaptich tumbled like a champ and quickly threw his arms in the air.

Brimin Miso On Sunday afternoon, the winner of the men’s race was Kenya with a 2:06:11 best time of the three minutes. This was his first marathon win since winning his marathon in Nairobi in 2019 with his 2:10:43.

Brimin Kipkorir Misoi and Selly Chepyego Kaptich completed Kenya’s double crown at the Mynova Frankfurt Marathon in 2:06:11 and 2:23:11.

A marathon happens to be one of four running distances. you often see these face plants Occur. The remaining three must be 400m and 800m cross country. At all these distances, the legs are fully tied at the end, and adding finishing tape to the mix doesn’t help.
