A 19-year-old man was arrested Friday night in a car theft case in Saskatoon.

Saskatoon Police said in a news release that officers saw a vehicle reportedly stolen from Regina enter the city on Highway 11 near Vic Blvd around 8 pm on November 25.

A tire deflation device was used and the car was pursued and stopped on Circle Drive near Airport Drive. The man attempted to flee with a taser, but was later taken into custody without incident. A severed rifle was recovered from the vehicle.
Police say the man is wanted for illegally fleeing and has also been charged with possession of stolen property and multiple firearms. No further information was provided.
