KATFISH’s high speed and constant resolution significantly improve Area Coverage Rate (ACR) by providing more useful data at longer range and higher fidelity than traditional sidescan sonar. KATFISH provides range-independent acoustic seafloor imagery with 3 cm x 3 cm resolution and area coverage rate (ACR) up to 4 km.²/hr, with swaths up to 400 meters, including simultaneous full-swath 3D bathymetry. After post-processing, constant resolution images of 1.9 cm x 2.1 cm are available.
