had a great chat with Steve Miller Last week, ahead of his band’s performance at PNE on August 30th.

When the interview was over, I asked the 78-year-old rock legend if he remembered his first show in Vancouver, where the Steve Miller Blues Band played. Afterthoughtthe “Psychedelic Ballroom” at the Kitsilano Theater (now Russian Hall).

A group of mirrors collectorsis a local psychedelic rock band consisting of lead vocalist Howie Vickers, guitarist Bill Henderson, saxophonist/flatist Claire Lawrence, bassist Glenn Miller, and drummer Ross Turney. (Remaining members formed after Vickers left the band in 1969) Chilliwack 1970. )

“Of course I remember,” declared Miller.

“I think it was 1967,” he added. [the Collectors], I just thought they were a great band. ”
