Star Jones has one big regret since her time at The View. To commemorate the show’s 25th anniversary, the 60-year-old television personality reunited with Meredith Vieira, Debbie Matenopros, and Joybeher. It was open during her tenure. The show’s creator and other former co-host, Barbara Walters, wasn’t attending the reunion.

“If I’m 100% honest, I regret that I had depression and wasn’t strong enough to admit that I was really ill about my health,” 1997-2006. Jones, who co-sponsored the show, said. “I really regret that I wasn’t there.”

Behar praised Jones for her “tremendous growth since then” before looking back at what it was like to see her fight behind the scenes.

“Star, I thought it would be great if I said I needed to lose weight. You’re unhealthy,” Behar recalled. “And I said,’If I told you that, you would have bitten my head.’ And you said,’Yes, I do.’

Vieira confirmed that Jones admitted that her fellow co-sponsors were “probably worried” about her health at the time.

“We were worried, and to be honest, I was a little angry about the dialogue because I felt” this is not honest, “” Vieira explained. “We claimed to be honest women at this show, and we stopped being completely honest with each other, it wasn’t good.”

Behar upheld Vieira’s feelings about Jones’ situation while talking to the current co-organizer of “The View.”

“The star has never talked about such a weight problem. She had a tremendous denial. We have to pretend that it’s something other than what it was. We didn’t like it, “she said. “We were told,’You must be an actress.’ And it’s like,’Well, we’re not paid to be an actress,’ but we I had to do that. “

“We were uncomfortable with it, and now she understands it,” Behar added. “She came miles away from where she was, so I have to acknowledge her achievements.”

Jones told the women that she was “regretted” that she wasn’t open about her health problems, but she’s grateful how far she’s been since then.

“This is my greatest achievement. I am healthier than I have ever been in my life,” she said.
