Skiers heat up for season at Vernon movie screening
Warren Miller’s film, Daymaker, features the Monashee Mountains
Already riding the winter wave two weeks ahead of schedule, Mountain Enthusiast is kicking off the ski season on the big screen.
The Vernon Ski Club (VSC) will screen Warren Miller’s film The Daymaker on Thursday, December 1 at the Town Theater.
VSC President Lauren Carr said: “Everyone is welcome. It’s a great event to get SilverStar excited for the next season.”
This year’s film includes footage and stories from the nearby Monashee Mountains, introduces adaptive backcountry riding, introduces audiences to grass skiing, and packs plenty of action and fun. .

Movie tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at Olympia Cycle & Ski (cash only). Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. The VSC will hand out door prizes during intermission.
