The City of Vernon warns drivers on 25th Street that there may be some traffic congestion while crews upgrade utilities in the area.

As early as Tuesday, September 27, crews will begin work on the city’s sewer system on the portion of 25th Street adjacent to the Vernon Water Reclamation Center.

Single lane traffic in both directions will be maintained. However, drivers should be aware of the coordinated travel route and expect short delays. The work he expects to be completed by the end of Thursday, September 29, but the timeline may change in the event of emergencies.

Access to local businesses will continue to be available.

Motorists are advised to slow down in construction areas and obey all traffic control measures.
