Sean Penn’s wife, Leila George, has filed for divorce.
The 61-year-old actor married a 28-year-old beauty on July 30, but more than a year after she got married, George applied to legally terminate the union.
According to TMZ, an Australian actress, daughter of Vincent D’Onofrio, filed a divorce notice with the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday.
It is unknown what George cited as the reason for her divorce report.
The news follows reports that Penn had to “regain” George, who has been on and off since 2016. Flag day Star to “work hard” in breaking their bond.
One source said: They got together, then they broke up, and Sean got her back.
“When he realized he had made a mistake and felt he might lose her, he worked hard to get her back.”
The two were quarantined together in a coronavirus pandemic, and the blockade was said to have strengthened their relationship and made them realize their future together.
The insider added: “They returned together during COVID, became really intimate, and were involved early in the quarantine months ago.”
Sean recently revealed that the children of Dylan, 30, and Hopper, 28, were with their ex-wife Robin Wright and were previously married to Madonna.
“We had a COVID wedding,” he said. “That is, it was Zoom’s county secretary, and we were at home with two children and her brother, and we did that.”
