Robert Pattinson and director Matt Reeves have been officially confirmed to return to the sequel to “Batman,” which was unveiled at the Las Vegas Cinemacon on Tuesday.
Pattinson and co-star Zoe Kravitz talked to ET earlier this year about continuing on-screen dynamics as Batman and Catwoman in future projects.
“I think it’s going to be a very complicated road,” says Krabitz. “I think we are very similar, but we are still very different. We meet each other and still we want to be ourselves.”
Reeves agrees, saying: “They are very attracted to each other, but at the same time they can’t be together because they’re influenced by the past in different ways. It’s a love story where you can always feel the pull and the push at any time. I love this idea. “
The director also describes the future dynamics between the two possible sequels and other films in the “Batman” world: [Selina] Not yet Catwoman in the movie, she will be Catwoman, which will actually put them on the other side more and more. “
“Still, the foundation of what connects them is always there,” he added. “Of course, given the two great actors together, of course it’s also delicious. That’s what I like about them in the cartoons, you care how much they care about each other, even if they’re on the other side. I always know what I’m doing. “
On Pattinson’s side, he told ET that he was ready to explore the character further with future “Batman” installments. Also note that Reeves has a lot of plans for the world of this movie. “It’s interesting because I was talking to Matt about it, and he keeps saying he has an idea,” said the actor, returning as Bruce Wayne. “I have a lot of things I love. I’m very proud of this movie and it will be a lot of fun to start over.”
“I think it’s great to have this setting,” added Krabitz. “I hope the audience can invest in our emotional connections and see what happens in the future.”
