The American International Group (AIG) has announced that its board of directors has appointed John Rice as a director of the company on March 17.

Rice (pictured above) was 65 years old, retired as non-executive chairman of General Electric (GE) Gaspower, and served as former president and chief executive officer of GE Global Growth Organization for seven years. He is also currently the director of Baker Hughes.
