RCMP Investigating Double Murder in Coquitlam, Public Calls for Information, Video Footage
Police in Coquitlam, British Columbia, are investigating a double homicide after an evening shooting at the south end of the community.
The RCMP said it received multiple calls of shootings on Dawes Hill Road and Mundy Street around 7:45 pm on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, responding officers say they ran into the two in a car with gunshot wounds. One of his victims was pronounced dead at the scene and another of him was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
A third person was also found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and is being treated in hospital, according to Mounties.
A state general homicide investigation team has been convened and will work in partnership with the Coquitlam RCMP.
No word yet on suspects or motives. Investigators are asking members of the public who may have information related to the incident or video footage from the area to come forward.
