26-year-old man dies in shooting on Hannah Street

Windsor Police are investigating Monday night’s shooting and have called for the release of drive recorders and surveillance video.

The shooting took place in the evening on the 800 block on Hanna Street East, outside the ABC Dinner Surrey.

Evidence markers were visible on the road in front of the entrance to the nursery school, and what appeared to be a knapsack lay on the pavement.

A 26-year-old man was taken to Windsor Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died from his injuries, police said.

Police said the shooting was believed to be an isolated incident and poses no threat to public safety.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has a dashcam or surveillance video from the area is asked to contact Windsor Police immediately.
