Queen Elizabeth II The new portrait released on June 1st marked the beginning of the Platinum Jubilee celebration.Imposing photographs taken by photographers Ranald MackechnieWas captured in the Victoria Entrance Hall of Windsor Castle on May 25, according to a press release from Royal Communications.

Mackechnie has taken two portraits of Queen Elizabeth II so far. On his 90th birthday in 2016, once in 2020, he celebrates the beginning of a new decade. “It’s an honor to be asked and a privilege to undertake,” McKennie said of the work of taking portraits of Platinum Jubilee.

In the photo, the royal monarch can be seen wearing a light blue coat and a dress decorated with pearl and diamond trim. The round tower of Windsor Castle and the statue of Charles II are depicted behind her through the window.

On June 1st, in anticipation of the Platinum Jubilee holiday weekend in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years of service during her reign, Her Majesty’s latest portrait was shared on the royal Instagram page.
