The car the man was driving collided with another vehicle at an intersection and also struck a 33-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment for lower body injuries, but Brabant said he survived. Another 44-year-old man was not injured.
“The investigation has been transferred to the SPVM’s crash investigation team,” Brabant said Sunday afternoon. “Investigators are on the scene trying to understand the causes and circumstances surrounding this clash.”
