Scrooge Can’t Stop Vernon’s Christmas Luncheon
Thousands of volunteers will work together to transform the Vernon Recreation Center Auditorium into a winter wonderland at the Halina Center Christmas Luncheon on Wednesday, December 7th.
Even if Scrooge tries to interfere by wreaking havoc in the freezer and losing four turkeys, nothing will stop the volunteers from making this event an unforgettable afternoon.
Guests are encouraged not only to enjoy traditional turkey meat, ham and all trimmings, but to participate in caroling, listen to the Calamarca Chorus, and join the show with magician Leif David . A very cheerful person, more fun.
It’s 50/50 and thanks to our many sponsors, you have a chance to win one of the many door prizes donated.
A limited number of tickets are available for $20 at the Halina Center office behind the Vernon Recreation Center. None available at the door.Doors open at 11:30am Program starts at 12:00pm, lunch at 12:45pm
Attendees do not need to be Halina Center members to attend. Anyone can participate in the event.
Halina Activity Center is a home away from home for nearly 400 members.
“We have a clear goal: to enable older adults to be active, engaged and successful as they age,” says Diana Williamson of the Center.
