Powwow at Okanagan University in Kelowna



Jingle dresses, drums and singing could be heard throughout the Okanagan College campus in Kelowna on September 23rd.

Hosted by Indigenous Services, the powwow featured dancers in the Traditional, Chicken, Grass, Fancy and Jingle categories. Dancers wore intricate regalia decorated with feathers, beads and jingle cones.

The event will be held on September 30th, one week before National Truth and Reconciliation Day.
