A 21-year-old Toronto man faces numerous accusations on suspicion of a hatred-motivated incident at a Jewish school in North York.

The incident took place Wednesday in Yeshiva Gedra, near Lawrence Avenue West and Bathurst Street, according to Toronto police.

According to Toronto police, the man was biking around the school grounds when he confronted the students by being on the school grounds.

The person reportedly returned after a while and began yelling at the students. Police said he also made anti-Semitic comments.

Police then claim that school staff confronted the man, causing a physical conflict, during which the staff were threatened and assaulted.

Kyle MacLeod, 21, in Toronto, was arrested and charged with a variety of crimes, including assault with weapons. He will appear in court on July 28th.

A hate crime unit of the Toronto Police is involved and is investigating this case as a suspected hatred-motivated case.

The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC), a Jewish human rights group for Holocaust studies, has condemned this latest anti-Semitic case.

“It’s very annoying that a man with a weapon threatened people violently at Yeshiva and, more annoyingly, shouted that he wanted to kill the Jews …. and the perpetrator faced the consequences of his disturbing actions. “Must be,” FSWC Director Jaime Kirzner Roberts said in a statement on May 26.

The incident occurs because Toronto police reported a 22% year-on-year increase in hate crimes, most of which was directed at the small Jewish community in the city.

“Such an attack occurred shortly after the latest annual hate crime report of the Toronto Police Service, again showing that the Jewish community in the city is the most targeted group. Jewish students. Is worth going to school without fear of threats and violence, “Kazner Roberts said.
