Asks for a share of $4 billion to boost business tech, The Canadian Business Journal

TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Canadian government launched the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) to help small and medium-sized businesses advance their capabilities through technology. The program consists of two streams, the larger Boost Your Business Technology offering up to $15,000 in grants per organization.

The first phase of the grant will focus on strategy development. Funds must be used to maintain an approved digital advisor who builds a digital adoption plan tailored to the organization’s specific needs. Following this, the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) will offer interest-free loans of up to $100,000 that can be used to acquire and implement new technology.

Our government is committed to enabling all Canadian businesses, from Main Street retailers to entrepreneurs to manufacturers, to benefit from the digital economy. The Canada Digital Adoption Program will help 160,000 small businesses adopt new technologies and create thousands of jobs for Canadian youth. I encourage small businesses, owners and entrepreneurs to apply for her CDAP to leverage technology to grow their business and reach new customers around the world.”- Hon. Mary Ng Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development.

One of the approved advisors companies can work with is Couch & Associates. Couch & Associates is a digital expert who has completed his 2,000+ successful projects using all kinds of platforms, from legacy systems to the latest technology.

Through this program, we work with a wide variety of organizations that are at various stages of their journey towards digital maturity. This grant provides the budget to start or accelerate digital initiatives and removes the element of risk by funding comprehensive strategy development before diving into implementation. – James Ellis, Business Analyst, Couch & Associates
