People from all over the world participated in a virtual SARscene event in Saskatoon-Saskatoon

The annual SARscene event was held at Prairie Land Park in Saskatoon.

The National Conference brings together the areas of search and rescue through aerial, ground and marine organizations. Featured annually in cities across Canada. This was the first time it was held in Saskatoon.

Volunteers from the Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association have been servicing the state for many years.

The virtual event began on September 25th and ended on October 3rd, attracting more than 1,100 participants from around the world.

Numerous exhibits, educational tools, networking and multiple presenters participated.

Scott Wright, President of the Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Volunteer Association (SARSAV), said the event was an opportunity to interact globally with one common goal of improving search and rescue.

“We are looking for people who lead to best practices,” Wright said. “Learn for yourself how search and rescue works. This event is all about learning to do better for practitioners around the world.”
