Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Toronto’s East End

A woman is hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a car on the eastern edge of the city on Friday night.

Shortly after 10:30 am, Toronto police responded to reports of pedestrians being hit by cars on Queen Street East and Orchard Park Boulevard.

Police said the female pedestrian had life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver remained at the scene.

Police closed Queen Street East on Kingston Road to investigate.
