Pedestrian hit by car at crosswalk in North Okanagan
35-year-old woman treated for non-life-threatening injuries
A woman was hit by a car at an intersection in Coldstream Tuesday morning and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, received reports that a pedestrian was hit by a car at the intersection of Husband Road and College Way on November 22 at approximately 8:15 am. said.
Officers were present at the scene as paramedics treated the victims.
Terleksi said the 35-year-old woman was crossing a pedestrian crossing when she was hit by a car making a left turn from College Way onto Kalamalka Lake Road.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and was issued a citation for not giving way to pedestrians.
