Pedestrian hit and killed in Mississauga

A man died Friday morning after being hit by a car in Mississauga, Peel Police said.

At approximately 6:15 AM, paramedics responded to reports of a pedestrian collision in the Eglington Avenue and Erin Mills Parkway area.

A man in his 40s was found with life-threatening injuries and taken to a local hospital, Peel paramedics said.

He later died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.

Eglinton Avenue between Erin Mills Parkway and Glen Erin Drive is closed due to a police investigation.
