The Pentagon has stated that formal proceedings have begun on more than 900 members of the Canadian Army for refusing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
General Wayne Eyre, Chief of Staff, ordered all military personnel to prove that they had been fully vaccinated by mid-October. After that, the deadline was extended to mid-December.
Defense ministry spokesman Daniel Le Bouthillier said reviews had begun on 100 military members by the end of December, alleging repeated refusals to acquire jabs.

Another 800 have been warned, ordered to participate in counseling, and other corrective actions, and may be forced to wear uniforms if not fired.
Le Bouthillier says 44 full-time members of the army volunteered to leave the army instead of being jabbed, with an unknown number of part-time reservists.
Last month, a federal court dismissed a request from several military members to prevent the military from forcing vaccination. This is the latest in a series of legal defeats against federal officials fighting vaccine requirements.
