Ontario reported 964 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 617,015.
Of the 964 new cases recorded, 498 were unvaccinated, 21 were partially vaccinated, 396 were fully vaccinated, and 49 were uncertain. ..
According to a report on Sunday, 129 cases were recorded in Toronto, 81 cases in Simcoe Muskoka, 86 cases in Windsor Essex, 58 cases in Peel and Ottawa, and 60 cases in York area. All other local public health departments reported less than 50 new cases in state reports.
The number of deaths in the state increased to 9,994 as another death was reported.

More than 11.2 million people are fully immunized with two doses, which represents 86.3 percent of the population over the age of 12. The initial dose range is 89.5 percent.
The Ministry of Health told Global News that as of 8 pm Thursday, children aged 5 to 11 years were given nearly 8,000 pediatric vaccines across Ontario.
They said some public health units, primarily in northern Ontario, are still waiting for supply.
Meanwhile, 600,537 Ontario residents have been reported to have recovered from COVID-19, which is about 97 percent of known cases.
There are currently 6,484 active cases in Ontario.
The government said 29,692 tests had been processed in the last 24 hours. There are 11,862 tests currently under investigation.
The positive rate of the test reached 3.2%.
Ontario reported 122 patients in the COVID-19 general ward, with 135 patients in the intensive care unit and 118 patients in the ventilator intensive care unit.
