Olivia Wilde claims Shia LaBeouf gave her an ‘ultimatum’ on ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ set, she chose Florence Pugh over him

Olivia Wilde is sticking with her decision to leave Florence Pugh in place of Shia LaBeouf in the much-talked-about movie Don’t Worry Darling.

The director chatted with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday’s “Late Show,” and the host didn’t hold back when she questioned her about the many rumors surrounding the flick.

One of the questions was about LaBeouf’s inability to work well with lead actress Pugh, so he was replaced by Harry Styles.

Wilde said early in the film’s production process, “As a director, I tried to mediate situations between people to see if they were happy to work together.

She told Colbert, “I had to replace Shia. He’s a great actor, but it didn’t work out.”

LaBeouf claimed to have quit, but Wilde claimed to have issued her an “ultimatum” and she “chosen Florence” over him.

In an interview on The Late Show, Wilde also spoke about his “feud” with Pugh, denying the rumors.

She told Colbert: she is wonderful She is now on the set of the movie ‘Dune’. There’s nothing cooler than a busy actress. For whatever reason, I have nothing against her. ”

The host quipped, “People pointed out she was drinking an Aperol Spritz during the press conference and didn’t attend.”

“They pointed it out,” Wilde said.

“I think what’s interesting is that my male director colleagues don’t feel like they’re answering questions about the cast.”
