A school principal in the Peterborough area said one of the four people killed in highway accidents this week was a student and his parents.
Deb Callahan, principal of Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School, said in a letter that the school community was “shocked and saddened” by the deaths of students and their parents.
She says another member of her family was also a student at the school and was airlifted to the hospital after the crash.
State police said a collision between a pickup truck and an SUV occurred Tuesday afternoon on Highway 7 near the Drummond Line.
They identified three SUV occupants who died as Riddick Hart, 18, Jonathan MacDonnell, 46, and Stephanie Hart, 52, and the deceased pickup driver was identified as 42-year-old Jason Schmidt.
