The Senate Trade Subcommittee on Consumer Protection asks Moseri how Instagram’s algorithms recommend content. Moserri has announced his appearance on Instagram, along with a list of ways the platform can protect users.

The U.S. Blacklists Chinese Quantum Computing Companies Due to Technology Security Concerns

U.S. government added 27 more companies In that entity list. This list has prevented them from doing business with the United States, and this time includes several Chinese companies working on quantum computing. As explained in the Financial Times report, the reason for the ban was due to national security concerns. The United States did not want the eight newly listed companies to have access to its quantum technology. In addition, a spokesperson for the Secretary of Commerce accused these companies of working with the Chinese military.

France asks search engines and app stores to remove wishes from technology

Several French ministers have asked major search engines in the country to hide their wishes from the list of search results. As an e-commerce platform, Wish is a popular destination for buyers looking for cheap and innovative products. The items listed are often sourced from China. The call to hide the wish was the result of an investigation by the French government, which found it too easy to post counterfeit products on the platform. In addition, the government found that of the 140 items ordered from the platform, 95% of toys do not comply with European regulations and 45% are considered dangerous.

Netflix’s smash TV series Squid Game turned out to be popular not only on screen but also on Spotify. According to the company’s blog post, fans have created playlists of over 22,500 unique themes since the end of the series. To meet the demand for the series’ unique music, Netflix and Spotify have partnered to create the Netflix Hub. This allows listeners to stream the official soundtrack and podcasts of the series.
