North Okanagan Knights Edge Summerland Steam Inn OT

KT won NOK in OT.

The North Okanagan Knights defeated their hometown Summerland team 3-2 in a Kootenay International Junior Hockey League game on Tuesday, November 22, when captain Kevin Thomas (KT) Walters announced at 3:40 in extra time that he would win the title of the year. I scored my ninth goal.

The Knights went on a five-game winning streak, avenging their 3-1 loss to Steam at Armstrong on November 5th.

The win moved North Okanagan (10-8-1-0) into second place in the Bill Ohlhausen division, tying them with Osoyos Coyote (9-5-3) on 21 points. Each team beats fourth-placed Steam (8-8-2-2) by one point.

Steam continues its four-game homestand over the doubleheader weekend. Summerland will host the Kamloops Storm on Friday 25th November and the Chase Heat on Saturday 26th November. Both games start at 7:30 PM at Summerland Arena.

The Knights will play a five-game road swing at Princeton on Friday, November 25, facing the division-leading Coyotes before visiting the Osoyoos on Saturday, November 26.
