Lakeshore OPP: Break-in thieves robbed of $110,000 on dirt bikes and more

Essex County OPP revealed that 12 dirt bikes, four e-bikes and a child-sized all-terrain vehicle were all stolen during an overnight break-in at a Lakeshore business last week.

Lakeshore OPP officials responded to a report of a trespassing incident on the Richardson Side Road property early in the morning of November 23 at approximately 2:50 am.

An investigation of the scene and its evidence determined four suspects to be involved in the crime, with items totaling over $110,000 worth stolen.

In addition to dirt bikes, e-bikes and ATVs, thieves also stole 20 off-road tires and various vehicles.

Investigators believe the crime was accomplished using two pickup trucks, each pulling an enclosed trailer.

One of the trucks was a dark Dodge Ram towing a white 2-axle enclosed trailer with “LK” lettering visible on the rear door of the trailer.
