Nominations Open for 2022 Community Builders Awards in Abbotsford

Nominations are now being accepted for the Community Builders’ Awards sponsored by Archway Community Services.

This award honors outstanding individuals and organizations who work tirelessly and passionately together to create better places to live, work and play.

This year we have a special category of Flood Heroes who helped those affected by the November 2021 floods.

Pamela Chatry, Chairman of the Awards Committee and Archway board member, said:

“We would like to celebrate each year the individuals who have volunteered over the long term and the organizations who give back in a substantial way and recognize their contributions.”

After hosting a small in-person event in 2021 due to COVID restrictions, organizers look forward to returning to the Reach Gallery Museum to celebrate with guests on November 3.

The Community Builders Awards were established by the Archway Board of Directors in 2006 to honor and recognize individuals and organizations associated with the organization.

Last year’s winners were Michael Adkins, Betty Johnston, Kevin Murray, and the Abbotsford Division of Family Practice.

Other past winners include Dr. Andy Sidhu, Abbotsford News, Dr. Elizabeth Watts and the late Dave Holmberg.

The deadline for nominations is September 18th. Visit Archway.ca/CBA to submit your nominations online and see a full list of past winners.
