No injuries reported after two fires erupt overnight in downtown Toronto

Two fire alarms were called in downtown Toronto just after midnight Sunday.

The first fires broke out shortly after midnight in low-rise buildings on Jervis and Gerrard streets.

Smoke and flames were visible, Toronto police said. The road in front of the building is closed to traffic.

Firefighters witnessed a second fire in another nearby low-rise building less than 20 minutes later.

The call for this incident was made at 12:19 at an address near Dundas and Sherborne Streets.

Nearby roads were also closed for emergency services.

No injuries were reported in either fire.
