Anniversary Ceremony at Halifax’s Grand Parade – Halifax

Nova Scotians gather at a monument Friday to pay tribute to those who died fighting for Canada.

It will be the first anniversary in two years with no COVID-19 restrictions in the state.

The Royal Canadian Legion will host several ceremonies in the Halifax area, with the main ceremony being held at the Grand Parade. Cenotaph sentries will be posted at 10:45 am, so the public is asked to be in the square by 10:30 am.

The Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia will also attend the Grand Parade event, and the ceremony will begin with a performance of O’Canada by the Stadakona Band, according to the Corps.
