Mark is one of the founders of Napa Valley’s Beringer Vineyards, Jacob He is Beringer’s great-grandson. With a passion for winemaking and knowledge passed down through generations, Mark leads his team into breakthrough territory in Okanagan winemaking. 2017 Sparkling Brut Reserve Methode Traditional ($80)
93% Chardonnay 7% Pinot Noir
This Chardonnay-dominated Brut Reserve reveals delicate and elegant fruit, led by lemon and crisp green apple lifted by orchard flowers and acacia. He aged in neutral barriques for 11 months before blending to add richness and complexity, and traditionally aged for an additional 47 months to add toasted brioche notes. That patience gives this wine a soft, creamy mousse that leads to a precise, richly textured palate that combines pungent chalky minerality with impeccable purity of fruit.

2017 Sparkling Brut Methode Traditional ($70)
64% Chardonnay 36% Pinot Noir
This calming brut seamlessly blends the lively finesse of Chardonnay with the depth of Pinot Noir. The nose reveals bright and expressive fruit with ripe lemons and golden apples, toasted hazelnuts and subtle harmonious sweet spice. The wine is surrounded by rich brioche notes and 47 months of aging on the lees leads to a fine and persistent mousse. Classic brut style and very well balanced, with a long, chalky finish of vitality and tension.
