NevGold identifies multiple potential high-grade vein structures over 4 Km in Ptarmigan and provides an exploration plan for 2022. CanadianBusinessJournal

Vancouver, British Columbia, February 23, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nev Gold Corp. (“”NevGold” or “society“) (TSXV: NAU) (OTCQB: NAUFF) (Frankfurt: 5E50)) Is pleased to be able to provide the next update on the 100% owned Ptarmigan project (“Project”) in British Columbia. After the recent completion of editing and interpretation of historical data, we may exceed 4 km to known high-grade parallel vein structures based on past drilling, soil and debris sampling, and geophysics. Identified the extension. Past drillings have intercepted grades up to 22,945 g / t Ag, 37 g / t Au, 8.24% Cu, and 3.70% Pb. The project also has signs of a carbonate-replacement-style mineralization (“CRD”) with elevated levels of silver, lead, and zinc found in historic drilling, underground work, and sampling. NevGold advances the project to an active field program that includes drilling starting from Q2-2022.

Main highlights

  • Historical high-grade drill intercept: Ptarmigan has over 14,000 meters of historic diamond drilling and major high-definition intercepts, including:
    • 3.65m 2,455g / t Ag, 1.00 g / t Au, 0.91% Cu
      • Includes 0.33 m 22,945 g / t Ag, 5.75 g / t Au, 8.24% Cu
    • 1.16m 2,315g / t Ag, 1.64 g / t Au, 1.10% Cu
    • 6.80 m 452 g / t Ag, 0.52 g / t Au, 0.26% Cu (Fig. 5)
    • 3.69m 635g / t Ag, 0.82 g / t Au, 0.33% Cu
    • 6.41 m 96 g / t Ag, 0.36 g / t Au, 0.20% Cu, 3.70% Pb (Fig. 6)
    • 4.90m 120g / t Ag, 3.22% Pb (Fig. 7)
  • Historical high-definition geochemical sampling: Ptarmigan has a large database of historical sampling, including:
    • 1,171 g / t Ag, 0.96 g / t Au, 0.30% Cu, 29.7% Pb (Fig. 8)
    • 2,210 g / t Ag, 1.8 g / t Au, 1.4% Cu (Fig. 9)
  • Compiling completed data: Extensive historical datasets have been compiled into the latest digital formats such as drill holes, soil and rock chip sampling, geophysics, and geological maps.
  • Geophysics reprocessing is complete: A large suite of geophysical data has been determined to be of high quality. Reprocessing and reinterpretation have identified multiple exploration targets and areas for the expansion of known mineralization zones.
  • Identified drill target: The drill target for the first exploration program, which will begin in the second quarter of 2022, has been identified, subject to the active issuance of permits.
  • Permission application submitted: We have submitted a work notification application for exploration activities planned for 2022, including drilling.

Derick Unger, chief geologist at Nev Gold, commented: “We are very excited to be able to drive our work in Termigan. Historical drilling has encountered stunning high grades up to 22,945 g / t Ag, but drilling is just one of the land packages. Only part was tested. It has the advantage of large datasets generated by previous operators. These datasets have been successfully compiled and compiled to generate geological models that drive the planned exploration program. Used. High-grade mineralization at Ptarmigan includes both high-grade thermal silver-gold-copper-lead-zinc veins and a wide zone of silver-lead-zinc CRD-style mineralization. It suggests the existence of a much larger mineralization system. We are confident that additional work will completely unleash the value of the district and find additional high-grade mineralization. “

NevGold is working on a high-grade silver-gold-copper-lead-zinc termigan project for a comprehensive exploration program starting in the second quarter of 2022. 93 kg2 The district-scale project is located in southeastern British Columbia, approximately 30 kilometers west of radium (Figure 1). The last active exploration of the project was from 2010 to 2014.

Last year, the company began compiling a wide range of datasets generated by previous exploration programs into a modern digital database. This work identified a number of exploration targets and areas for further data generation (Figure 2). Previous drilling focused on defining mineralization in a small area around historic mining work (Figure 3), leaving most of the properties untested. In addition, data editing identified the need to reprocess and reinterpret existing geophysical data (Figure 4). This has created a number of new exploration targets without past drilling.
